• Police said Patrick L. Duffy, 23, of Wilmington, was cited for DUI following a Sept. 1 crash on Route 202 when he struck a vehicle parked on the right shoulder of southbound 202 near Route 1. According to the report, the parked vehicle had its hazard lights on and triangle reflectors adequately displayed. Duffy’s vehicle left the traffic lane and struck the other vehicle in the rear bumper. There were no injuries reported.

• Mariell Chay Cruz, 34, of Chester, was cited for driving without a license on Aug. 27 after she failed to stop at a red light on Route 202 at Oakland Road, police said. The accident happened at 10:28 p.m. According to the report, Chay Cruz was driving a Ford Focus southeast on Oakland when she drove through the red light and hit the other car as it was northbound on Route 202. Police reported no injuries.

• Speed was the cause of a two-car crash on Route 202 near Dilworthtown Road on Aug. 24. Police said Lauren L. Edwards, 30, of Aston, was cited after she could not stop before striking the other vehicle that was stopped in the right northbound lane. No injuries were reported.

• Police said they arrested a 48-year-old man from Philadelphia — not identified in the report — for shoplifting at the Target store in Concord Township on Sept. 2. No details were given on what the suspect was stealing.

• Two men from Wilmington, Anthony Macera, 42, and Shawn Lange, 36, were arrested for shoplifting at Wegmans, a police report said. The pair allegedly tried to steal more than $200 worth of fruit, beverages, and Tide Pods.

• Police said they arrested an 80-year-old man on criminal mischief charges. A report said he spray-painted two post lights black at the beginning of a 74-year-old woman’s driveway on Brintons Bridge Road in Chadds Ford. The suspect was identified as John Abramson of West Chester.

• A 53-year-old man from Wilmington was arrested for his involvement in a three-car crash in Pennsbury Township on Sept. 8. Few details were released, only that there were injuries from the 4:49 p.m. accident at Kennett Pike and Balmoral Drive. Police didn’t identify any of the people involved.

• Two youths, a 15-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl, both from Kennett Square, were arrested on shoplifting charges after they tried to steal $449 worth of merchandise from the Walmart in East Marlborough Township on Sept. 4.

• Police also arrested a 39-year-old man from Berlin, Md., for shoplifting at the East Marlborough Walmart on Aug. 18. The suspect, not identified by police, reportedly tried to steal $840 worth of merchandise on Aug. 18.

• State police from the Avondale barracks said a 66-year-old woman had a check stolen from her mailbox on Waterglen Drive in Pocopson Township on Sept.7. The check was made out to the Unionville-Chadds Ford School District for $10,257.
